He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens (1989). After completing his Residency Training in Urology in 1998, he pursued Fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, England. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a Scientific Associate at the 1st Urology Department of the University of Athens at the Laikon Hospital. In 1999, he received the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). From 2001 to 2007, he worked as a Registrar B’ at the Urology Department of the University of Thessaly where, as a Scientific Coordinator, he organized and set up the Neurourology-Urodynamics Clinic. In 2002 he got his PhD from the University of Athens. He was elected: Registrar B’ (2007-2009), Registrar A’ (2009-2013) at the 2nd Urology Department of the University of Athens at the Sismanoglio Hospital, Lecturer of Urology at the University of Athens (2013) and Assistant Professor. He is the Scientific Coordinator of the Neurourology-Urodynamics Clinic. He has received Scholarships from the Hellenic Urological Association (scholarships "Apostolos Deliviotis" and "Urodynamics"). As a Researcher, he has participated in Greek and international multi-centre studies and has been invited as an Invited Speaker at 103 Scientific Events (Conferences-Symposia-Seminars). He is a Member of Greek and foreign Scientific Societies, including the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the International Continence Society (ICS). He has participated in the organization of a number of Conferences and Seminars as a Member of the Organizing and/or Scientific Committee. He was a Member (2009-2011) and the President (2011-2013) of the Coordinating Committee of the Department of Urodynamics, Neurourology and Gynecological Urology (ONOGO) of the Hellenic Urological Association. He is a Reviewer in international and Greek journals, and Member of the Editorial Board of the “Hellenic Urology” journal. His scientific work includes a number of oral presentations in Greek and International Conferences, 40 full articles (23 published in foreign-language and 17 in Greek journals), and chapters in 3 Greek Urology books.
