Haralampos K. Mamoulakis graduated with Honors from the Medical School of the University of Athens. After completing his military service, rural medical practice and Residency Training at the Urology Department of "Evangelismos" Hospital, he received the Specialty Degree in Urology and the title of FEBU (2006). He holds an MSc in Biostatistics [two-year InterUniversity/ Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program of the University of Athens (Medical School, Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Department of Mathematics) and the University of Ioannina (Department of Mathematics)], and 2 PhDs in Urology (Medical Schools of University of Ioannina and University of Amsterdam, Netherlands). He worked for two years as an Assistant Registrar B’ in NHS at the Urology Department of the ‘Agios Georgios’ General Hospital of Hania. He worked as a Staff Member (MSRC) at the Urology Department of the AMC University Hospital, Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he trained for 2 years in Endourology – Laparoscopic Urology ((ESUT Fellowship in Endourology & Laparoscopy, 2008-2010). He trained for 6 months (Sabbatical Leave) in Endourology - Laparoscopic Urology at the Saifee Hospital [Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Mumbai, India]. In 2011 he was promoted to Lecturer and in 2014 to Assistant Professor of Urology. Since then, he has been working at the Medical School of the University of Crete, where he is responsible for three undergraduate courses: Urology, Andrology, Clinical Practice of Urology). He carries out his clinical practice at the University General Hospital of Heraklion. Since 2014, he has been the Head of the Urology Department of the University General Hospital of Heraklion (2014), where he has advanced Endourology with the systematic application of the most modern and advanced endoscopic techniques in the treatment of benign and malignant urological diseases. He has set the foundations and organized the EBU Accreditation of the Residency Training Program in Urology (RTPU). Besides Endourology - Minimal Invasive Urology - Uretechnology (applied in BPH, Urolithiasis etc.), he has also special interest in Andrology and Functional Urology. He has been honored with Awards from EAU (2004, 2006, 2016), Scholarships from EAU (EUSP, 2009) and the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (2008). He was nominated by EAU as the most suitable candidate for the EAU Crystal Matula Award 2011. He is a Member of the EAU BPH / Male LUTS / BOO Guidelines Office Panel & of SIU (ICUD; 3rd International Consultation on Stone Disease). He is a Member of the largest Urology Associations (ASA, AUA, EAU, Endourological Society, ICS, SIU) with active involvement in their activities. He has authored more than 60 international published scientific papers that have received over 800 citations (h-factor: 16), as well as a number of chapters in Greek and foreign-language Urology books.
