Vaios Mytilekas was born on 05/09/1975 in Pretoria (South Africa). He graduated from the 19th High School of Thessaloniki and the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2001. In 2009, he pursued his Residency Training as a Urologist Surgeon, and came first in the category of freelancers receiving a scholarship from the Hellenic Urological Association. He trained in Advanced Urodynamics for three months at the San Carlos University Hospital in Madrid, Spain. He received the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) (06/2010) with grade 9. From 2010 to 2013, he was a Research Associate of the Institute for the Study of Urological Diseases (ISUD). Since 2010, he has been an Associate - Fellow at the Functional Urology Clinic of the 2nd University Urology Department (Papageorgiou General Hospital). Since 2015, he has been an Academic Fellow at AUTh. He has been honored with the first Clinical Work Award at 3 International Conferences (in 2 as First Author), with the first Clinical Work Award at 3 Hellenic Conferences (in 2 as First Author), and with the second Award at a Hellenic Congress. He is a PhD Candidate at AUTh, First Author in 19 articles (published in Greek-International journals), Invited Speaker at 42 Conferences - Symposia – Meetings, and has participated with 45 clinical works in similar events. He is also the Author of a Urology thematic section in one scientific book in the Greek language (Penile Cancer) and one in the English language (Parkinson's disease).
